The recent announcement of $4 million for a pontoon for disabled people needs to be questioned.

How can a pontoon cost so much?

Surely data from the marina works done previously could be used to reduce costs . . . seagrass surveys and possible Aboriginal sacred sites would have been covered in the previous marina planning, and seabed samples would have already been done.

Surely design and fabrication of the pontoon, entry ramp and pylons cannot possibly cost this much?

I applaud the idea of disabled facilities, but not at this staggering cost.
