Agent Connie Handcock said it was the first time she had ever come across a property with legal ownership of a waterway, allowing the owner to dock boats in what is essentially their own backyard. The advert points out the two personal moorings — including a 20m jetty — will be just steps from their door, saving the owner the hassle of dealing with the public. “Gone are the days of dealing with pesky boat-ramp antics or public access. If the weather looks good, then just jump on board and head out,” it says.“Even better, you have a second jetty for when friends or family are out on the water and want to stop by to say hello. “Alternatively, just like cars, why have one boat when you can have two?” The question puts Ms Handcock in the running for House That!’s long-running Agents Waxing Lyrical award, because most of us would have to win lotto to even consider one boat. But she is on the money when it comes to targeting the right demographic, given the the site will no doubt accommodate a lavish property one day. Zoned R80 and set in the Port Coogee Marina precinct, the block is comprised of two lots with an amalgamation approval, or the lots can be purchased separately. And the rare offering comes with something even more unique — uninterrupted western ocean views and the northern sun. Neither can be built out. The properties are walking — or swimming — distance to several popular beaches. The lots are being sold by a local vet and will together fetch about $6.5 million.
