Former Mincor Resources boss Gabrielle Iwanow takes new role with listed contractor Perenti
Former nickel mining boss Gabrielle Iwanow has taken up a new role with listed contractor Perenti two months after parting ways with Andrew Forrest’s empire.
Ms Iwanow had been managing director of nickel miner Mincor Resources for about four months before Mr Forrest’s mining business Wyloo Metals launched a $760 million takeover for the company in March.
She left the business following the acquisition in September and will start as president of Perenti’s contract mining division, a major revenue driver for the business., on January 8.
Ms Iwanow has previously worked for Oz Minerals and Rio Tinto.
Incumbent Paul Muller will be shifted to another role within Perenti’s executive branch in the middle of next year.
Perenti chief executive Mark Norwell said managing and developing senior talent was a key strategic focus for the business.
“Gabrielle’s addition to our group executive committee provides the business with additional depth in talent as we continue to build on our record FY23 financial results, transformative acquisition of DDH1, ongoing execution of our 2025 strategy and development of our 2030 strategy,” he said.
“I would like to welcome Gabrielle to Perenti and thank Paul for his ongoing contribution to Perenti.
The contractor locked down its acquisition of rival business DDH1 in October in a deal worth about $300m.
