Settlers Tavern needs support from its loyal customers to hit the top of a competition focused on Australia’s best wine lists.

The tavern is vying for top spot in a competition for the Young Guns of Wine’s Wineslinger Top 50 best places to drink wine in Australia.

Patrons are asked to vote online for the regional pub, which consistently wins accolades for its stellar wine offering.

Wine list curator Karen Gough said the competition helped put Margaret River wines on the map.

“We’re so pleased to be chosen as a Wineslinger venue for the second year in a row, and what great company we’re in from all across Australia,” she said.

Voted by a 100-strong national panel including fine winemakers, sommeliers and journalists, the Wineslinger Top 50 was described as “the inside scoop from those in the know”.
