Product recall for Voyager Estate 2023 tempranillo rose amid broken glass fears
Voyager Estate was forced to recall a batch of its latest wines amid fears about broken glass found in some of its bottles.
The winery’s 2023 tempranillo rose was sold nationwide, but is subject to the urgent recall announced on Friday, February 2.
Food Standards Australia issued the alert, advising consumers not to drink the beverage.
“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the agency said.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
A Voyager spokesperson said the winery apologised for the inconvenience caused by “an isolated incident on the bottling line”.
“Please contact us for instructions on how to dispose of the wine safely,” the winery said in a statement.
“We will be issuing customers with a full refund, irrespective of where the product was purchased.
“Please get in touch with the Voyager Estate team via email wineroom@voyagerestate.com.au or phone (08) 9757 6354 to receive your refund.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The rose bottles have the batch number 23236-23 ROSE on the label.
