Good Day Sunshine festival coming to 3 Oceans Winery in Margaret River
Australian blues and roots legends John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd and Josh Pyke have been announced for another new festival at 3 Oceans winery, Good Day Sunshine festival.
Hot on the heels of Here Comes The Sun and Sugarloaf Rock, the Margaret River region winery will continue its streak of excellent live music on Saturday, March 21, 2020.
The stellar line-up is completed by Ainslie Wills, Kyle Lionhart, Dulcie and Moon & Honey.
The festival also includes an array of local artisan food, drinks, stalls and artists.
A spokesperson for the festival said a hand-picked selection of exceptional Australian artists would join heavyweights John Butler and Xavier Rudd.
“The people behind Good Day Sunshine have pulled out all the stops to create an event that Australian fans will remember for the rest of their lives,” she said.
“Acts who tap into that same gold vein as the esteemed headliners such as Ainslie Wills, Kyle Lionhart, Dulcie and Margaret River's own Moon & Honey.”
From his days busking the streets of Fremantle, to touring the world, John Butlerhas become one of the most successful Australian folk artists of all time.
He boasts six combined APRA and ARIA awards from five classic studio albums.
Xavier Rudd has had a profound impact on Australian Blues and roots culture that goes far beyond music and art, thanks to his lifelong humanitarian work and advocacy of First Nations rights.
Over the course of nine studio albums and eight live albums Xavier has earned a swag of Gold and Platinum records and several ARIA nominations.
Another artist with a trophy cabinet overflowing with ARIA Award victories and nominations, Josh Pykeis returning to WA with his effortlessly smooth voice and summery indie-folk guitar.
Josh Pyke's songs are a quintessentially Australian blend of catchy melodies and heartfelt, poetic lyrics.
