Tristan Warren Seagrim: Accused burnout hoon wears moonboot during court appearance over Wundowie crash

A man accused of doing burnouts while on a lifetime driving ban before hitting a tree — seriously injuring his two teenage passengers — has faced court from behind bars in a moon boot and on crutches. Tristan Warren Seagrim, 24, was allegedly doing burnouts on Doys Road, in Wundowie, between 7.30pm and 7.50pm on Boxing Day before he crashed. It is alleged he drove away from the scene and was later arrested at a home nearby. Two 17-year-old girls were seriously injured in the crash — one of whom was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital with a fractured skull and fractured eye socket. She has since been discharged while the other passenger was taken to St John of God Midland Hospital with serious injuries. Both teens are friends of Mr Seagrim. At a previous court hearing, it was revealed Mr Seagrim had been on parole at the time of the alleged offence and that he was already on a lifetime ban from driving. On Tuesday, in Perth Magistrates Court, Mr Seagrim’s case was adjourned until January 24 when his lawyer is expected to make a bail application. Mr Seagrim is facing charges of aggravated dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and no authority to drive. He appeared via video-link from Casuarina Prison. It is unknown whether his injuries were from the crash.
