Inaugural Margaret River dance concert a dazzling delight for new business
Two local dancers have been left leaping for joy after the raging success of their new dance school’s inaugural dance concert.
Annelise and Therese Colman celebrated the success of their newborn Tutu Dance Company with more than 90 young performers coming together on the Margaret River HEART stage for the school’s end of year concert Believe.
They both studied dance locally in the region and associate director Colman said it was a surreal full circle moment.
“It actually makes us feel quite emotional — this is our hometown and it’s just great to have the HEART right here on our doorstep, as it’s such a beautiful venue with professional services,” she said.
“Our dance families thoroughly enjoyed the event and were blown away by the professional environment and finished product the HEART helped us deliver.
“We look forward to continuing to put on our productions at HEART in years to come.”
The studio runs classes in Margaret River and Cowaramup for all styles of dance, from ballet to hip-hop, and for all ages and abilities.
HEART general manager Nicky Hansen said they were a wonderful team to work with and was glad to be a part of such a special occasion.
“It’s great to see local talent on the stage. It was such a delight to watch 90 little budding dancers centrestage in a series of really well-done routines,” she said.
“We’re thrilled to have them booked in again for their second annual showcase.”
