DROPPED! Pant pulls one high into the are and Cummins is chasing it from mid-off. But it’s coming over his shoulder and though he puts in a dive the chance goes through his hands as he never settled under it.

38th Over - IND 6-97

Lyon continues.

Reverse-sweep from Kumar as he gets another boundary away. These two continue to be aggressive.

But it’s the only big shot of the other as Kumar defends the rest.

Starc to Pant as he sways out the way of a bouncer.

Works one into the offside for an easy single.

MISSED CHANCE!

They’re not going to let Lyon settle here.

Just the one from it

Marsh goes full and Pant drives through the covers this time as they scamper back for three.

A counter-attacking over from the Indian keeper.

Pant survives a DRS call for caught behind. Cummins sent it upstairs but the ball grazed the elbow on the way through after just missing the bat.

He gets off strike with a single.

The debutant Nitesh Kumar faces the music.

Cummins tests him with some short stuff but he survives.

MARSH HAS TWO!

Marsh bowls two no-balls but the effort ball again catches out the Indian batter.

It bounces just a touch and the edge flies straight through to Carey and Sundar can’t believe it.

What a spell from the WA man

31st Over - IND 5-71

Cummins has a deep third after that shot last over from Pant.

Sundar crunches a straight drive down the ground for three. There were suggestions Sundar may bat at three heading into the Test which shows how highly rated his batting is.

Sundar defends or leaves the rest.
