Goldfields Giants’ early preparations for the 2025 NBL1 season will include open tryouts for the club’s two men’s squads on November 16.

Players aged 14 years and over are eligible to take part in trials for the Giants’ NBL1 and second-tier division one WABL squads.

Each participant has to bring their own towel, basketball and two water bottles for the session from 2.30pm to 5pm at Niels Hansen Stadium.

Cuts will be made on the day, with only successful players advancing to the next session.

Lennon Smartt was last weekend formally announced as the Giants’ men’s head coach for 2025 after leading the team with great success in an interim capacity this season.

The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association is seeking expressions of interest for places on the 2025 NBL1/WABL sub-committee.

The committee is responsible for the management of Goldfields Giants programs and reports directly to the KBBA board of directors.

Expressions of interest have to sent by 5pm November 16 to admin@KBBA.org.au.
